Description
A distinctive dwarf compact blue flax lily with a blue and yellow flower display in spring and early summer. Patent Pending.
Uses
A color contrasting plant ideal for group or border plantings with a high ornamental value. Makes an excellent container or single specimen plant. A great alternative for liriope and groundcovers. Thrives well in full sun to part shade. Performs well in sand or clay soils.
Climatic
Drought tolerant once established. Tolerates heavy frost and hot and/or humid conditions. Evergreen in normal winters to 24º F. Zones 8b-11. Slow growth rate. Perennial through Zone 6? 1/2-1' high x 1/2-1' wide. Space 1-2' for optimum performance.
Care
Low maintenance. Plant Baby Bliss no deeper than the existing soil level to prevent covering the crown of the plant. Trim older leaves as required to maintain a neat appearance. Fertilize as needed with a slow release fertilizer. Container grown plants will require regular watering; garden plants will require less water once established.
